Although it's been a very stressful week for me, I was able to come up with two things/events I'm grateful of immediately and the last one took a little bit of time. Here's my three things/events I'm grateful of:
1. The circumstance that led to what I'm grateful for is a bit scary, but I had to look at the positive side of the situation. I had a student earlier this week get sick in class, which greatly freaked me out. To aleviate the stress caused from this incident, I went running at my gym later that evening. And for the first time in over 10 years I ran a mile in under 9 minutes. I thought it was adrenaline doing its work, so today I tried pushing my abilities and ran that mile in less time. (around 8.50 min.) I think I've now set a new standard for how fast I should be running my miles.
2. One of the reasons why I was incredibly stressed this week (and to some extent, still am), is because I'm organizing the a big event for my work and every year it's a big ordeal. Not in a bad way, mind you, just very stressful. So through all the possibilities of what could go wrong, in the end it was a big success and ran incredibly smoothly, (at least from my perspective). The changes I made from last year worked out incredibly well. I've got one more event this coming Friday and I'm begging the weather to hold out and for it to be even more successful. Fingers crossed!
3. I'm very grateful for the strength to evaluate myself and look at where I'm going and what I must to do to get there. I know that's cryptic, but I'm fearful to discuss much of anything further than that.
