I always try to be the person who looks for the good in people, things, situations, you name it. I guess it's because I strongly believe that thinking negatively will eat at you and eventually make you a disgruntled person. And you and I both know of those people who are always negative and always sour. And you and I both know that those kind of people are ones we try to avoid.
But I do think it's only natural that we come across hard times in our lives that really try to push us down and sometimes it's inevitable that we come off as pessimistic. I know I've had my fair share of days where I ask myself "what the hell is going on here?!?!" So I'm going to try to combat that.
This blog stemmed from something I recently read in a magazine that suggested thinking of three things I'm grateful for or three events that have gone over well in the past week as a means to help build happiness, make you more optimistic and as a result improve physical health. So each week I'm going to try to come up with those three grateful things or positive events and post them. And we'll see if this theory can be proven correct.
